1. Who we are

Kue is a free activity discovery platform operated by Kue (privacy@kueapp.co). We help people find programs, camps, classes, leagues, and events in their community by aggregating publicly available information. We are based in the United States.

Our platform is intended exclusively for adults (18 years and older). We do not permit children under 18 to create accounts.

2. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Kue account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. We collect date of birth at account creation to verify this requirement. If we discover that an account was created by someone under 18, we will immediately terminate that account and delete associated data.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your date of birth (to verify age eligibility only — not stored beyond verification)
• Your ZIP code
• Age ranges of children in your care (e.g., "6–8" or "9–12") — we never collect children's full names, dates of birth, photos, or any other identifying information unless you voluntarily add a first name to a family profile
• Activity interests and preferences

If you create a family profile, you may optionally add children's first names. This information is visible only to members of your family group and is never shared with third parties, organizations, or used for any purpose other than displaying within your family profile.

Information collected automatically

When you use Kue, we automatically collect:

• Programs you view, save, and interact with
• Search queries and filter selections
• General location at the ZIP code level only — we never collect precise geolocation
• Device type, browser type, and operating system (for performance and compatibility)
• IP address (used for security and fraud prevention, not for tracking)
• Session data and page interactions via Google Tag Manager and Vercel Analytics

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and analytics. We do not use cookies for behavioral advertising. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect platform functionality. Our domain is registered through GoDaddy; their privacy practices apply to domain-level interactions.

4. How we use your information

• To provide and improve the Kue platform
• To send registration deadline reminders for programs you have saved
• To notify you of new programs in your area that match your interests
• To communicate with you about your account
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents
• To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.

5. What we never collect

• Children's dates of birth, photos, school names, or student ID numbers
• Health, medical, or insurance information
• Financial account numbers, credit card numbers, or banking information
• Social Security numbers or government-issued ID numbers
• Precise geolocation data
• Biometric data of any kind

6. What we do with aggregate data

We analyze anonymized, aggregate patterns across all users — for example, what categories are most searched in which ZIP codes, or what age ranges have the most interest in which program types. We use this to make Kue more useful and to understand which communities are underserved so we know where to expand. This analysis never identifies you individually and is never sold or shared with third parties.

7. Children's privacy (COPPA)

Kue is designed for parents, guardians, and caregivers — not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our platform requires users to be 18 or older.

We collect children's age range information (such as "ages 6–8") solely to surface relevant programs. This information is never used for advertising, profiling, or shared with any third party.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@kueapp.co. We will investigate and delete any such information within 72 hours.

Kue complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (16 CFR Part 312).

8. How we share information

Service providers

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform, under strict data processing agreements:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure (SOC 2 Type II certified)
• Vercel — hosting and deployment infrastructure
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Google — OAuth authentication and Google Tag Manager analytics
• GoDaddy — domain registration

Program organizations

We may share anonymous, aggregate data with program organizations — for example, informing an organization that a certain number of people in their area have saved their listing. We never share your name, email address, or any personally identifying information with organizations.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business transfers

If Kue is acquired, merged, or undergoes a change of control, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you by email and provide an opportunity to delete your account before any such transfer takes effect.

9. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher
• Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
• We use row-level security (RLS) in our database so users can only access their own data
• Authentication is handled by Supabase, which is SOC 2 Type II certified
• We conduct regular security reviews and promptly address vulnerabilities

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware of the incident, as required by applicable law.

10. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Aggregate, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data
• Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Opt-out of communications — unsubscribe from reminder and marketing emails at any time
• Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

12. Third-party links

Kue links to third-party websites, including program registration pages operated by organizations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. When you click "Register" on a program listing, you are leaving Kue and entering the organization's own website. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

13. Program information accuracy

Program information is aggregated from publicly available sources and submitted by organizations. Kue is a discovery platform — we are not responsible for the accuracy of program details, registration processes, payment handling, or the privacy practices of listed organizations. If you spot incorrect information, use the "Report incorrect info" button on any program page.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect and update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Kue after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
